GLITTER is the official fan club for Kristin Chenoweth and is supported by her management.
This group was founded in January 2003 as a way to keep up to date as to what was currently going on in the career of Kristin Chenoweth. Since this time, the group has become much more. As well as the original goal of allowing Kristin Chenoweth fans to communicate with one another, the group has now also become an avenue for fans to communicate with Kristin herself. Recently, Kristin has registered on the Glitter messageboards and will leave a message there from time to time allowing fans to know exactly what is going on in her life. Prior to this, all communications to the group came through the staff of Glitter. Some other things which Glitter has accomplished include raising over $10,000 for the AIDS Walk in New York. The group has also hosted multiple get togethers (both official and otherwise) and continues to do so. Kristin is always excited to meet new fans after a show (concerts, Broadway, etc.) and has done so on multiple occasions, even participating in a meet and greet at one point in New York City where she answered multiple questions from members of the fan club. An entire transcript of this meet and greet is available on the Glitter forums.
Glitter is a non-profit club and does not charge any membership fees or dues. The store which the club runs (courtesy of CafePress) does not generate any revenue for the club. Instead, all sales of items from the store go directly to charitable organizations such as Broadway Cares/Equity Fight AIDS (BC/EFA), an organization that is both near and dear to Kristin Chenoweth.
